Terms & Conditions

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to VIS Racing, "VIS Racing," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing this website, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you ("you," "your," or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use this site or purchase from us.

All transactions are final except as expressly permitted in the Cancellation Policy and Return Policy sections below. No other cancellations, chargebacks, or unilateral reversals of payment are permitted.

SPECIAL ORDERS

Special Orders are products manufactured, sourced, or imported on demand for a specific customer.

  1. Nonrefundable Deposit:

    • All Special Orders require a nonrefundable deposit equal to 100% of the order total at the time of purchase.
    • This deposit secures the order and initiates the process of obtaining the requested item(s).
  2. No Cancellations:

    • Once placed, a Special Order cannot be cancelled. If the Customer attempts to cancel for any reason, the full deposit is forfeited to VIS Racing.
    • No refunds or credits will be issued for cancelled Special Orders.
  3. Shipping Delays:

    • VIS Racing is not liable for any delays in the shipping or production process.
    • All shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
    • The Customer is not entitled to any refund, price adjustment, or compensation due to delays.
  4. Claiming Special Order Items:

    • Once the Special Order item(s) arrive and are available for pickup or shipment, the Customer will be notified.
    • The Customer must claim or arrange shipment within 30 days from the date of notification.
    • If the Customer fails to claim the order within this 30-day period and makes no attempt to arrange pickup or delivery, the order will be considered abandoned and cancelled.
    • In such cases, all deposits paid for the Special Order will be forfeited to VIS Racing.
  5. Excluded From General Cancellation Policy:

    • Special Orders are governed exclusively by this section and are not subject to the general Cancellation Policy below.

SHIPPING POLICY

Please Read Receiving Instructions before accepting any delivery. Failure to follow these instructions may limit or eliminate your remedies for shipping damage.

Due to the size and nature of our products, freight carriers may contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. You are responsible for providing a current phone number and being available for delivery.

BACKORDERS

Most items ship within 2–3 business days, though high-volume periods may extend this to a full business week. Out-of-stock items may take 4–12 weeks to produce and ship.

Backorders differ from Special Orders in the following ways:

  • A Backorder cannot be cancelled while the ETA is still within range, except as required by law.
  • A Backorder may be cancelled if the item is more than 2 weeks past its most recent ETA (for example, due to customs delays).
  • Items may not be reserved without payment or a deposit. Any reservation made without payment requires full written documentation and acknowledgment from VIS Racing.

PAYMENTS, CHARGEBACKS, AND DISPUTES

By placing an order with VIS Racing, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method for the full order total, including any applicable taxes, fees, and shipping charges.

If you believe there is an issue with your order, you agree to contact us first and provide a reasonable opportunity for us to investigate and resolve the matter before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, credit card issuer, PayPal, Affirm, or any other payment provider.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated for reasons covered by these Terms — including but not limited to shipping delays, failure to follow the Receiving Instructions, ordering the wrong item, or refusal of delivery — we reserve the right to:

  • Recover from you any amounts improperly reversed,
  • Charge you for any related bank or processing fees, collection costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees, and
  • Suspend or terminate your account and/or future purchasing privileges with VIS Racing.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws or card network rules.

BODY KIT POLICY

  1. Product Quality and Materials:

    • All VIS fiberglass body kits, including bumpers, lips, side skirts, spoilers, and hoods, are made from high-quality fiberglass and come with wire mesh if applicable.
    • Carbon fiber products are produced using industry-standard carbon fiber layup processes.
    • Professional installation is required for all parts.
  2. Product Illustrations:

    • Pictures shown on our website and promotional materials are for illustration purposes only.
    • The actual product may vary due to enhancements and updates. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our knowledgeable staff for clarification.
  3. Fitment and Modifications:

Depending on the specific body kit and your vehicle, aftermarket body kit components come unpainted or unfinished. Before painting, you may need to re-prime, sand, refill, or sometimes even re-fiberglass the parts to achieve a smooth finish. Once properly prepared, you'll need to paint or finish the parts to match the vehicle's color or desired aesthetic.

Significant modifications may be required to ensure correct fitment. These modifications may include:

    • Trimming the bumper
    • Cutting away and removing the reinforcement bar
    • Adding new fiberglass to reinforce or reshape the part as needed
    • Re-drilling mounting holes
    • Modifying adjacent body panels for proper alignment

Additionally, some cutting or modification of the existing body panels may be required. Aftermarket parts do not have the same fitment as OEM factory parts. Some parts may not be installable with all existing OEM mounting hardware or holes, requiring additional adjustments.

  4. Test Fitting:

    • It is crucial to test fit all body kit parts before making any modifications or painting. Any alterations, painting, or installation will void returns, exchanges, and warranties.
  5. Accessories:

    • Accessories such as fog lights, driving lights, splitters, canards, add-on lips, intake scoops, or other enhancement products are not included unless explicitly specified in the product description.
    • The absence of these accessories does not qualify as a product defect.
  6. Fitment Issues and Defective Products:

    • If you experience fitment issues, you must provide pictures to support your claim:
      • Place the part on the vehicle and take a picture with the vehicle in the frame.
      • Take additional pictures of the specific area in question.
      • To expedite the process, provide 4–5 pictures from various angles.
    • Claims for defective products must be filed within 10 days of receiving the product(s). Claims filed after this period will not be accepted.

CARBON FIBER & HOOD VISIBILITY DISCLAIMER

Certain hood styles — including but not limited to carbon fiber, cowl-induction, scooped, vented, ram-air, and race-style hoods — feature raised contours, cowls, scoops, or other elevated geometry that may obstruct forward driver visibility compared to the OEM hood. This is an inherent design characteristic of these products and is not considered a defect.

By purchasing a hood with these features, you acknowledge:

  • The product's design may reduce or alter your forward sightlines;
  • You are responsible for verifying that the resulting visibility is acceptable for your intended use and legal in your jurisdiction;
  • Some hood styles may require additional safety equipment, including but not limited to heat shields, hood pins, or secondary latching mechanisms;
  • VIS Racing is not responsible for any consequences arising from reduced visibility, including accidents, citations, or failed inspections.

We strongly recommend test-fitting the hood and evaluating visibility before painting or final installation.

DELIVERY CONFIRMATION & RISK OF LOSS

Shipments are sent to the shipping address provided by the customer at checkout. When the carrier records the shipment as delivered to that address—whether by delivery scan, driver notation, Proof of Delivery (POD), signature, and/or photo where available—the shipment is considered delivered. At that point, risk of loss, theft, or damage transfers to the customer. Any issues that occur after the carrier’s recorded delivery at the address are outside the control of the merchant.

To qualify for any remedy related to shipping damage, you must follow our Receiving Instructions available at this link. In particular:

  • You must inspect the shipment at the time of delivery whenever reasonably possible.
  • Any visible damage to the packaging or product must be clearly noted as “DAMAGED” on the delivery receipt or Proof of Delivery (POD) before the driver departs.
  • You must take clear photos of the packaging (all sides), the shipping label, the POD, and the damaged area(s).
  • Concealed damage must be reported to us in writing within 24–48 hours of delivery, along with photo documentation.

Failure to follow these procedures may limit or eliminate our ability to file a claim with the carrier and may result in denial of replacement, refund, or credit at our sole discretion.

CANCELLATION POLICY

This policy applies to standard orders. Special Orders are governed exclusively by the Special Orders section above.

  • Before Shipment:

    • Cancel anytime before it ships: We can cancel your order if we receive your cancellation request before the item has been shipped.
    • Refund deductions: Approved refunds will be issued minus applicable processing/credit card fees and packaging fees already incurred.
    • Contact us ASAP: Please reach out to our customer service team immediately so we can stop the order before it goes out.
  • After Shipment:

    • No cancellations once shipped: If the order has already shipped, it cannot be cancelled and will be handled as a return (please see our Return Policy).
    • Cancellation/Restocking fee: 40% of the total order value, excluding shipping.
    • Return shipping costs: You are responsible for the cost to ship the item back to us.
    • Outbound shipping is non-refundable: The original shipping fee will not be refunded and will be deducted from your refund.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

Please note that some of the products offered by VIS Racing might not be suitable for street use everywhere. It's important for you to check and follow your local state or federal laws to ensure that your purchases meet legal standards.

When you buy from us, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing, our products come "as-is". This means we don't offer any additional warranties, whether expressed or implied, beyond what's required by law. This includes, but isn't limited to, warranties regarding the product's quality or suitability for a specific purpose. If you have any questions about our products or policies, please contact us.

RETURN POLICY

General Rules

  • All returns require prior written authorization. Contact us within 5 days of receiving your product to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
  • Once approved, items must be shipped back to us within 14 days of the RMA issuance date.
  • All returns must be prepaid by the Customer. Returns shipped collect or without a visible RMA number will be refused and returned at your expense.
  • A copy of the original invoice must be included with the returned merchandise.
  • We will not accept any authorized return more than 30 days after RMA approval.

Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Special Orders;
  • Items that have been used, installed, modified, painted, sanded, trimmed, or otherwise altered;
  • Items returned without all original packaging, hardware, and instructions;
  • Complete body kits where only a single component is alleged defective (we will replace or refund the individual component only);
  • Items damaged in return shipping (you must file a claim with the carrier).

Restocking Fee

A 40% restocking fee applies to all approved returns. Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

Defective Products

  • Damaged shipments not noted on the POD at the time of delivery are not eligible for return as defective (see Delivery Confirmation & Risk of Loss above).
  • Defect claims must be supported by photo documentation:
    • The part placed on the vehicle with the vehicle visible in the frame,
    • Close-ups of the area in question,
    • 4–5 photos from various angles to expedite review.
  • Defect claims must be submitted within 10 days of receipt.

Fitment

Refunds will not be issued for poor fitment that falls within the expected tolerances of aftermarket parts (see Professional Installation Required & Fitment Disclaimer below). Extreme fitment issues may be considered for refund at our sole discretion, provided you submit proof of professional installation and photo documentation of the test-fit phase before paint.

Packaging Requirement

Please pack all returns securely using all the original packaging. We will not accept returns without all the original packaging. We recommend insuring your return shipment for its full value, as neither we nor the shipping company will be responsible for any loss or damage during return shipping.

CUSTOMER'S ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

All products provided by VIS Racing ("we" or "VIS Racing") are delivered to the Customer without any warranty, either expressed or implied, except as required by law or separately agreed in writing. Our products do not carry any safety certifications, either domestically or internationally. VIS Racing will not be held liable for any damages or injuries resulting from the use of these items.

The responsibility for determining the appropriate use of any product and the assumption of any liability related to such use shall rest solely with the Customer and the installation shop.

Please be aware that our automotive products are aftermarket items and may sometimes necessitate the modification or removal of vehicle components, including safety equipment such as reinforcements, bumpers, and turn signals. Any modifications or removals are undertaken at the Customer's own risk.

INSTALLATION OF AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS

Installing aftermarket body kit components, carbon fiber hoods, and trunks involves steps that require precision and expertise. While it's possible to perform the installation yourself, we strongly recommend using a professional aftermarket body shop for best results.

  1. Expertise: Professional custom shops have the experience and knowledge required to handle aftermarket modifications efficiently and effectively. They understand the intricacies of each component and can ensure proper fitment and alignment.
  2. Specialized Tools: These shops are equipped with tools and equipment specifically designed for aftermarket installations.
  3. Quality Assurance: Professional custom installers inspect each component before and during installation to ensure that everything meets high standards.
  4. Warranty Protection: Many professional custom body shops offer warranties on their installations.
  5. Time and Convenience: Professional custom installation saves you time and effort and helps avoid DIY mistakes.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION REQUIRED & FITMENT DISCLAIMER

All VIS Racing fiberglass and carbon fiber body parts, including but not limited to hoods, trunks, doors, bumpers, lips, side skirts, widebody kits, and spoilers, are aftermarket components. They are not OEM parts and may require trimming, sanding, reshaping, re-fiberglassing, re-drilling of mounting holes, or adjustment of adjacent panels for proper fitment. Minor imperfections and the need for body work prior to paint are normal characteristics of aftermarket fiberglass and carbon fiber parts and are not considered defects.

Professional custom body shop installation by a qualified aftermarket body shop experienced in fiberglass and/or carbon fiber components is required. DIY installation or installation by shops without aftermarket body kit experience greatly increases the risk of poor fitment and damage.

Any claim related to fitment, structural issues, or alleged defects must include proof of professional installation (such as a detailed invoice from the body shop) and photo documentation of the test-fit phase prior to paint. Claims without such proof may be denied at our sole discretion.

SAFETY, OFF-ROAD USE, AND VEHICLE MODIFICATION

Certain products sold by VIS Racing—including but not limited to race-style hoods, trunks, doors, diffusers, splitters, and other aerodynamic or weight-reduction components—may be intended for off-road or competition use only. These products may not be legal for use on public roads in all areas and may affect the crashworthiness, safety systems, or emissions compliance of your vehicle. You are solely responsible for verifying the legality of any modifications in your jurisdiction.

Some products may require the removal or modification of OEM safety components such as reinforcement bars, crash beams, intrusion beams, or energy absorbers. Any such modification is performed at your own risk. VIS Racing is not responsible for any injury, death, property damage, or legal issues arising from the use or installation of our products.

For certain products, VIS Racing strongly recommends (and may require as a condition of use) additional safety measures such as:

  • Installation of an appropriate aftermarket heat shield under carbon fiber hoods,
  • Use of hood pins or other secondary latching mechanisms,
  • Use of roll cages or similar reinforcement with lightweight doors or other structural components.

Failure to install and use such safety measures may result in damage to the product, vehicle, or persons and will void any product-related claim.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS

Given the size and nature of our products, the shipping company may call you to schedule an appointment for delivery. Please provide us with your current phone number and we will forward that information to the shipping company, if applicable. If you are not available for your shipping appointment, the item may be shipped back to the distributor and you may be charged for the round-trip shipping. Please refer to our Receiving Instructions for more detail.

SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF THE CONTIGUOUS US

Customers needing delivery outside of the contiguous US (including but not limited to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and foreign countries) must first request a quote. Transactions made without first requesting a quote will be refunded and cancelled.

Because customs policies and fees vary from country to country, the customer is responsible for payment of all applicable customs fees, duties, and taxes. The customer will be considered the importer of record and is solely responsible for compliance with all import laws and regulations in the destination country. You may also be obligated to hire a customs broker to satisfy customs requirements. Check with your local customs office prior to purchasing.

We are willing to ship orders to a designated freight forwarding company that will handle delivery of your purchase to your country or territory. When we deliver to a freight forwarder located within the contiguous US at your request, our responsibility for the shipment ends upon confirmed delivery to that freight forwarder. Any loss, damage, or additional costs that occur after delivery to the freight forwarder are your responsibility.

Please read the description of the part carefully, as one or more of the options may include a different part than depicted in the image. Parts such as lights, splitters, canards, paint, and other accessories are not included unless specifically stated in the product specifications.
