Important Fitment & Installation Notes
JDM Spec License Plate Fitment Please note that this is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) spec trunk. Because Japanese license plates have different mounting dimensions, the pre-drilled holes will not line up perfectly with a standard US plate. You will simply need to drill an additional hole to properly mount your US spec license plate. It is a quick and straightforward adjustment for any body shop, but we always want our customers to know exactly what to expect right out of the box!
Trunk Spring Warning Because this carbon fiber piece is drastically lighter than your OEM steel trunk, do not reuse the factory trunk springs or struts. The tension from the stock springs is calibrated specifically for heavy steel. If you leave them installed, the lightweight carbon trunk can "flick" open far too violently, which can cause stress cracks or damage to the hinge area over time. For the best fit and longevity, professional installation is highly recommended.
