VIS Carbon Fiber Trunks are crafted from Grade-A carbon fiber material. Our trunks are JDM spec and may require modification for a perfect fit. We do not recommend reusing your original trunk support, struts, or springs as this could lead to cracking or bulging of the trunk. All VIS hoods and trunks feature a two-part construction: the top layer is carbon fiber, bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with a UV-protective polyurethane coating for a high-gloss finish. The underside is a one-piece, smooth shell, fused to the top for enhanced strength and structural integrity.

Our manufacturing process was improved in 2014 with the introduction of the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which produces parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable. We are transitioning all our carbon fiber parts to use this process to offer superior products without a significant price hike.

All VIS Carbon Fiber Hoods and Trunks come with an official VIS badge of authenticity. These products are intended for off-road use only unless local laws state otherwise.
